Who are We?
Wildflower World is a Mail Order and Wholesale Seed Company specialising in exotic wildflowers.Wildflower World sell pure, certified American and European wildflower seed which is the freshest and finest available anywhere in the world.
Wildflower World is privately owned and operated by Geoff & Liz Brunsden who first started working with wildflowers some 20 years ago. They have spent the last 15 years researching and studying wildflowers and field testing them to understand their growth and flowering abilities.
Media interest in wildflowers has almost been a cult following with national television and all manner of garden magazines and newspapers presenting and forever seeking information. The reason for so much interest is that not only has wildflower growing been very topical but the flowers are also very pictorially attractive.
Three Silver Awards, two Bronze and two Merits for our wildflower displays at the prestigious Ellerslie Flower Show in Auckland, New Zealand 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003 have well cemented national acceptance and created a new trend. We have exhibited at the show for 10 years and displayed 7 gardens.
Today's end users of the product range from the city gardener growing just a few square metres to the state highway 'caretaker' establishing several hectares. As they say, 'anyone can grow wildflowers'.
Wildflower World also have a commercial organic mixture using wildflowers to attract beneficial insects to organic food production crops, from apple orchards through to vineyards. This mixture is under extensive evaluation.
Wildflower World recently purchased another mail order seed business and now offer a wide range of easy to grow garden flower seed as well as our wonderful wildflower seed.
